For freight forwarders, brokerage documentation teams, and import operators
Commercial invoice PDFs to your Excel import columns.
Supplier invoices rarely use the same layout. Manifest AI extracts the document fields and repeating line items, then lets your team review and map them into the spreadsheet your next workflow needs.
Try one clear PDF up to 5 pages free, with review and download. No credit card required. Complex or unsupported tables may need another sample.
Start with one repeatable workflow.
Start with the supplier format your team retypes most often. Use its original PDF and the Excel or CSV columns you need downstream. A recurring format is a useful first evaluation because the reviewed mapping can be reused.
1. Upload and map
Upload the PDF, confirm the fields, and optionally save the reviewed layout.
2. Review the values
Use source-page context and available checks to inspect critical rows and exceptions.
3. Export and validate
Download Excel or your exact-template CSV, then test the receiving import workflow.
Fields to map and checks to keep.
These are practical mapping examples. Confirm your own document fields and destination requirements before operational use.
| Source fields | Output mapping | Review before import |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice number and currency | Keep document identifiers separate from the repeating table. | Match the identifier and currency against the invoice header. |
| Supplier SKU and description | Preserve the supplier value; map a customer SKU into a separate column. | Check wrapped descriptions, leading zeros, and similar item codes. |
| Quantity, unit price, line amount | Export separate numeric columns for the receiving workflow. | Review quantity × price mismatches without silently changing source values. |
| Subtotal, freight, tax, total | Keep document totals available alongside line-item output. | Reconcile line sums and invoice arithmetic; confirm discounts and credits. |
A useful first-document review
- Review a line at a page boundary to catch continuation or duplicate-row issues.
- Check decimal separators, negative values, quantities, and the currency before import.
- Confirm the destination column order using a small test import in your receiving system.
- Keep classification fields subject to qualified review before using them for customs work.
Agree on the handoff before scaling.
Output is a reviewed Excel workbook or mapped CSV file. A native connection to every TMS, ERP, or customs system is not included. Scale and Custom plans provide an API for a separately implemented integration.
A prepared sample does not prove accuracy on your documents. Compare a representative set of your supplier layouts before expanding volume.

Are line items billed separately?
No. Paid usage is one credit per successfully processed page, including the line items on that page. The pricing calculator can estimate pages from your expected line-item density.
Can I inspect an example before signing up?
Yes. Our synthetic commercial invoice and reviewed Excel sample shows the structure of a prepared result. Use your own document to evaluate extraction quality.
